Garment Manufacturing

From fabric to finished garment, under one roof.

Whylet manufactures private label and bulk apparel — fabric development, pattern and sampling, cut-and-sew production, inspection, finishing and dispatch. One production route, one point of accountability.

Send a spec, a sample or a sketch — we’ll tell you what’s buildable and what it takes.

Whylet is the operating brand of its parent company, Polar Start. Same ownership, same team, same accountability.

01 / Capabilities

Take the whole route, or only the stages you need.

Most orders need fabric, making and finishing. Some only need one. Tell us where your product already is and we’ll scope from there.

01

Fabric Development

Yarn and fabric sourced to your specification, then knitted or woven, dyed, washed and finished to the hand-feel and shade you approve. Fabric is inspected before it reaches the cutting table.

02

Pattern & Production

First patterns drafted and graded across your size set, markers planned for yield, then cutting and multi-needle assembly. You approve a fit sample before a single bulk panel is cut.

03

Quality, Finishing & Dispatch

Inspection at defined checkpoints rather than one pass at the end, measurement checks against your spec sheet, then retail-ready labelling, folding, cartoning and handover for shipment.

What happens after you send an inquiry

No sales sequence and no obligation. Three steps to a costed, scoped proposal you can act on.

Step 01

We read the brief

You send the product, quantity and any specs, tech packs or reference samples you already have. If something is missing, we tell you exactly what we need.

Step 02

We scope it honestly

You get the applicable stages, a realistic lead time and an indicative cost — including a straight answer if your quantity or timeline isn’t a fit for us.

Step 03

You approve, then we build

Sampling begins only once scope is agreed. Bulk begins only once you have signed off the fit sample. You are never committed by an inquiry.

03 / Why Whylet

Built for buyers who have been let down by a factory before.

The failures that cost you money are rarely about machinery. They’re about specification drift, silent delays and quality found too late.

01 / Scope

One vendor, one route

Fabric, making and finishing coordinated together — so no stage can blame the one before it.

02 / Control

Spec drives production

Your measurement sheet and approved sample are the reference. Changes get raised with you, not absorbed quietly.

03 / Quality

Checked in-line

Inspection happens at set points during production, so defects surface while they can still be corrected.

04 / Output

Shipped, not just sewn

Orders leave labelled, folded and cartoned to your packing list — ready for the shelf, not for rework.

04 / FAQs

Before you send a brief.

The questions buyers ask us most often, answered directly. Anything not covered here, ask us in your inquiry.

Send an inquiry

At minimum: the garment type, target quantity and your timeline. A tech pack, measurement sheet or a physical reference sample makes the quote far more accurate — but if you only have a sketch or a photo, send that and we’ll tell you what else is needed.

Yes. Production here is specification-led, so an existing tech pack, graded pattern or approved sample shortens development considerably. We’ll still run a fit sample against it before bulk so both sides are working from the same confirmed reference.

No. The three capability groups are modular. If you already have a nominated mill or are supplying fabric yourself, we can start at pattern and production. If you want the material developed from yarn, we cover that too.

Inspection is built into the run at defined checkpoints rather than left to a single end-of-line pass, which is what makes mid-production correction possible at all. If something deviates from the approved sample or measurement sheet, it’s raised with you while the order can still be adjusted.

Same business, same ownership. The company began trading as Polar Start and Whylet is the brand it operates under today, so you may see either name on documentation. Nothing about the production, team or accountability changes between them.

Send the brief. Get a straight answer.

Tell us what you need made. We’ll confirm whether it’s a fit, what the route looks like and what it will take — before anyone talks about commitment.

  • 01A reply from a person who has read your brief, not an auto-responder.
  • 02The production stages that actually apply to your product.
  • 03A realistic lead time, including if that answer is “not us”.
